Recommend a good board game
I'm hosting my DH's family's thanksgiving this year (6 adults (3 couples) and our 1 toddler). Any ideas for great adult board games for 6? Preferably no movie trivia ones, we've got a ton and looking for a change. Also nothing to terribly active, his mom's in chemo and quite ill. TIA!

Mad Gab
Apples to Apples
Taboo
We love to play Catch Phrase and Apples to Apples--my family plays one of them every christmas.
We created our own charades type game which is perfect for teams. Boys vs. girls or some other mix like that.
First everyone writes down lists of 10 celebrities (if the group is really big you can do 5 but the more the better, it's ok if multiple people write the same person down, you can also use non famous people (like Joe's Grandma) or made up characters (like Mickey Mouse) ).
Round one, put all the names in a hat. Each team takes alternating turns trying to guess the names for two minutes. You can do/say anything you want. And you keep going until all the names are gone.
Round two, put all the names back in the hat. Now you can only say two words per person.
Round three, all the names back in the hat again. Now you have to act out the names.
We call it Celebrity. And it is soooo much fun.

I love Catch Phrase, Scrabble and Pictionary.
I never can get anyone to play pictionary with me, but when we get people to play we always have a blast! I'm not sure why its so daunting

Taboo and Catch Phrase.
I've been at two parties where we played Apples to Apples and it was big dud both times.
Our Share of the Harvest:How a couple cooks from a CSA share. Pick Up Day Week 15
Battle of the Sexes is a fun game we play it at parties all the time.
I second Taboo
For family..pictionary, cranium, taboo, or scattegories, balderdash.
And not that you asked, but a good game for friends is Things. I just got it this summer and it can be hilarious with the right crowd (but probably not the family crowd).
Absolute favorite board game - Aggravation. Not Sorry or any of the games that came from it, but the actual Aggravation marble board game. We play it with DH's family every time we visit them.
Another great game (but good luck finding it) is called Switchboard. It's very difficult to explain, but look it up. It's an old game, but MIL actually found an old unopened one for us.
I love the game sequence - we always bring it to game night. Apples to apples is my other favorite.
