Anyone ever have this done?

Has anyone ever had a test(s) done for a blood clot?  I'm scheduled for some kind of testing today at 5pm and I (1) have no idea what they will be doing, (2) how long it takes for them to find out the results, and (3) does it hurt? I could google this but I am trying to stay away from that b/c I don't want to get any more anxious than I have been.

I don't have any experience w/ this and I'm hesitant to tell my family until after I have it done today b/c I don't want anyone freaking out unnecessarily until we know for sure what the deal is.  (I did enough freaking out myself yest for everyone!)  I didn't want to post this on my local board either b/c I don't want to make a big deal about it.

I'm just a little nervous and in pain and its all out of no where but apparently my dr. said the symptoms I'm having are indicative of a possible blood clot in my leg.  Tongue Tied

Re: Anyone ever have this done?

  • I only have limited second-hand experience through my aunt. She had several clots in her legs and ultimately had to have surgery to repair her veins, but that was years ago and she hasn't had much trouble since that I know of. It was a quick recovery too, from what I remember. She did have to wwear those compression stockings for a while afterward, but that's about it. I hope it turns out to be nothing serious for you. GL!
