Thats what I have to say about that. I don't ever really get sick. The last time I took a "sick day" was when I woke up with a blindingly painful migraine and even then, came in halfway through the day once it went away. I was out at the end of last week for a camping trip but woke up today with a sore throat and stuffed up nose. I came to work because I had just been out. I'm armed with a gallon of hand sanitizer, I wash my hands compulsively, I am keeping a low profile, leaving the area to blow my nose when necessary and avoiding touching anything communal.
I have a co-worker who is ALWAYS sick. Always. And she snorts down snot and it makes me want to vomit. I call her Typhoid Mary at home (immature I know but whatever). today, she has the gall to be all "ewwww, you need to keep your sickness over there. Germs are so disgusting - I don't want it"
Ugh, I'm short on sleep, I don't feel superb (but not bad enough to not stay at work) and Aunt flo just departed from her monthly visit so my emotions are a little wonky but I just about went through the roof.
I never EVER say anything to Typhoid Mary about her disgusting habits or that they have me running around bathing in sanitizer just because she's got something new every other week. I just smile when she wants to borrow some supply of mine and wipe it down when she's done since it never occurs to her to do that and plug in my ipod and jack up the volume to drown out the snot swallowing. I guess I must be feeling worse than I thought because this just tripped my "you annoy me" trigger in a big way.
Today kinda sucks. ![]()
Re: lkjwernblj!
Sorry you aren't feeling well. Munkii put it best (and always makes me LOL)... put Ms. Germy Pants in her place!
Ahahahaha! Munkii speaks the TRUTH! Feel Better!
lol - oh how I wish I had the balls to do that. Maybe if she keeps it up and I have one more night of cruddy sleeping under my belt.
I'm supposed to go canoeing with my fam this weekend (including my pregnant sister) and I'm thinking I'm going to have to stay home.
boo.
Well done, Munkii!
Sorry you're not feeling well Witty. There's nothing wrong with having the house to yourself for a weekend, though, right?
