I saw on facbook your parents are coming to visit soon. Are you going to tell them while they're there?

And I'm SO glad you had a great appt today. I seriously cannot wait until our u/s at the end of Oct. 

I'm really happy we're pregnant at the same time! I'm so glad not to be going through this alone, haha. I know others have been through it and can empathize, but it's still not quite the same as having a friend who's going through the same thing at the exact same time (or a week ahead!). 

I've been thinking about posting on the May 2011 bump board, but I think I may hold off until I find out if there's an issue with the blood work they took today or not. Have you posted over there yet?

the plan was to wait and tell my parents this weekend, but i told them last week over the phone lol i couldn't wait anymore!!!!!! Now my whole extended family basically knows.  I was a little worried at first, but then i thought the more people praying for us, the better off we are!!!!!

I've been posting quite a bit on the May board...everyone is pretty friendly! It's sad to see people "have to say goodbye" though.

FYI...beware of your first U/S. Our tech was kind of b!tchy...i thought something was wrong because she was just like "that's the sac where the pregnancy forms, there's the hearbeat, ok i'm going to remove the wand now."  And that was it.  At one point i said, "who knew a little blob could be so special" and she said absolutely nothing.  I understand she does this all day long, but this is my baby. you can at least acknowledge it's kind of a...you know..miracle.

 

anyway, welcome to pregnancy!!!!!!!! It will be fun to go through this together!!!!  Are you feeling ok so far? i just started to feel crappy a few days ago (no puking yet, just totally repulsed by food).

I'm sorry you had a disgruntled tech. Lucky for her, it's hard to get a momma annoyed when she sees her baby's heart beat for the first time!

So far so good, my boobs started hurting a few days ago. Every morning they seem a little worse. I'm tired, and constantly thirsty. But that's about it really. Knock of wood no nausea or food aversions so far! But I wont hit 5 weeks until Sunday. So we'll see what happens in the next week or so.

oh i forgot about the thirst!!!!!!! week 4-5 was the worst...i was drinking like 100oz of water every day.  Im still drinking a ton, but it's not quite as bad.

Seriously, I've drank a liter and a half so far today. The amount of pee that's been coming out of me is insane. I have permanent cotton mouth.

I want cake.
