Her birthday was a few weeks ago so we were at their house for a little celebration. One of the presents from my BIL was a wrapped jewelry box. He was snapping a ton of pictures as she opened it. Both my SIL and I thought we were going to witness a proposal and have to revolt. However, it was a butterfly necklace that didn't fit.

Story-time: My cousin once gave his wife a drop-dead gorgeous diamond necklace as a Christmas gift at my parents' house. For the rest of the weekend, she pitched a fit, because it wasn't the gift she'd been hinting at, and he should know her better. Seriously.
This is the same woman who oohed and aahed over my wedding jewelry and asked me if it was a wedding gift from my husband. You should have seen her face when I told her it was from Claire's!
