Anyone been to Mickey's Halloween Party this year?
We're heading to Disneyland Oct 6 and plan on attending Mickey's Halloween Party. Is there anything there worthwhile for a 2 YO? Do you know if tickets sell out and we should buy in advance, or am I probably safe to just buy day of? Any tips? Do many adults/families dress up?
Re: Anyone been to Mickey's Halloween Party this year?
I haven't been, but I received a tip about World of Color. They said to make sure you go there first thing in the morning (like when the park opens) and you can get one of the few Fast passes so you can go back and get a good spot for World of Color.
Also, they don't allow adults to dress up in costume. They allow the kids, but they tend to ask adults to change.
I hope that helps!
We went last year! Everyone was dressed up, you just can cover your face. Be prepared for adults acting like spoiled children! I had grown ups cutting in front of my 3 yo so they could get their candy!
DS still had a blast though!
BTW it is not @ CA adventure it is in Disneyland this year. I think you are fine buying day of going on the 6th
by the way were going this friday oct 8 for my daughters 2nd bday and i know that they are selling tickets for 49 each right? thanks for the info ladies on this halloween party and this really helps me out big time. i love to go but i cant afford it as a family.
We went to Mickeys Halloween Party on Oct. 8, and it was great. There were lots of adults and whole families (and children of course) dressed in costume. I don't believe the tickets sold out that night; I know they were available in the few hours leading up to.
There was a ton of trick or treating with typical Halloween candy being given out, we found all of the CMs to be in good cheer, lots of photo ops with the characters, good Halloween parade (our 2 year old loved it), and the fireworks were just okay. Overall, we found it very worthwhile to spend the $50/pp on the trip, especially since it cost us over $2K just to fly there, so what's $100 after that. But if we lived in the area and could go to the park all the time, then the cost probably would not have been as worthwhile unless you are really into Halloween.
