Well, I finally finished all of our thank you notes and got them out in the mail- one day short of our 2 month anniversary.
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!
I've got my name changed with social security, got a new drivers license, and called my two credit card companies. DH and I now have a joint bank account. I feel so accomplished!
My only annoyance in life right now is my car. I am technically an out of state student, so have never bothered to change my license or get my car registered here until now. But my catalytic converter is acting up again, which means it won't pass emissions, so I can't register it. It's already had to be replaced (3 years ago) and the parts alone cost over $500 at that time. With all the repairs I've put in to the car this year alone, I've been spending ~$150 a month, just on repairs. So I think it's time for a new car... which is kind of exciting, but annoying at the same time, because I really needed this car to last me through this last year of school and preferably another couple of years while I build up my business. But I can get a new car for $240 a month. So it's probably worth it to get a new one, even though that's really pushing our budget. Ick. Being an adult is annoying sometimes. Lol.
How's everyone else doing with their post-wedding name changing?
Re: Woo hoo, TY notes done!
Congratulations! I'm jealous that your TY cards are done. I haven't even started. I decided to wait until after we move to start them. We move next weekend.
As for name change, most of the things are done. Some things we decided to hold off on since we'll have to change the address too. I hope to have everything taken care of within the next month.
