Recommend a restaurant

DH and I want to go out for a nice dinner tomorrow night. We would prefer somewhere in Long Beach, Pasadena, or downtown LA area. We're open to trying new things except I can't have sushi or fish so preferably anything else. A good steak place would be nice too. Thanks for any suggestions ladies!

Re: Recommend a restaurant

  • My favorite restaurant is Bottle Inn but that's in Manhatten or Redondo beach. I always get them confused. But it's amazing italian, a great romantic place with the best steak. Their wine selection is amazing and you can sit in the wine cellar!

Sorry I don't eat in the areas you are looking for often, but LA Live's Mexican restaurant is really great.

    Thank you!

For the record we went to a place called the Wood Ranch Grill out in Cerritos and it was great. I loved it.

  • There are a bunch of great places downtown now.  Check out yelp for reviews : )
  • Downtown LA has some great spots...

Rivera and Casa serve great Mexican-inspired food.  Love the vibe of Rivera... and Casa has nice outdoor dining

Patina or Watergrill - not sure how special the event is, but if you've got cash to spend, these would be good places to do it.

Lazy Ox Canteen is supposed to be great food - haven't made it there yet.

Drago Centro and Church and State are supposed to be really good too.

  • We like Wood Ranch - their first restaurant is here in my hometown ;-)

  • Oops! I'm to late for your dinner, but one place we really like in Pasadena is Bar Celona. ?It's a Spanish/ Tapas place, the food is good, the people are nice, and you can sit outside. ?And I wish I would have seen this last week, because another great place across from Bar Celona (A cool Brazilian place with live music) closed last weekend
