Re: Warrior Diet?
{Blog: Adventures of AlaskanAlison}
"the Warrior Diet is based on a daily feeding cycle of "undereating" during the day and "overeating" at night. The "Undereating Phase" during the day maximizes the Sympathetic Nervous System's (SNS) fight or flight reaction to stress, thereby promoting alertness, generation of energy, fat burning and the capacity to endure stress."

Essentially you eat either nothing, or juice and raw fruits and veggies all day-and then eat whatever you want (within reason of course) at night.
Seems crazy right??
I just think that it sounds dangerous. You would probably lose weight because you are not eating anything all day! Just sounds too fad diet-y for me.
I did WW (which I think you have done) and lost 75lbs., so I am a big proponant of it - it works if you stick with it (which is the tricky part!
) But I started doing Crossfit early this year and now eat Paleo/Primal. Basically, I eat meat, veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds (like a caveman). It's a little strange and I was a HUGE skeptic at first since it cuts out all grains (and the idea of losing an entire food group seems nuts to me), but I have actually become a believer. I am MUCH less hungry than I ever have been and can see my energy levels raise. I have not lost much weight because I have been drinking beer (which is made of grains!), but am going dry for the next month to see what happens. Check out www.marksdailyapple.com It is a sorta low carb diet in that you cannot have "bad" carbs. Instead you get your carbs from fruits and veggies.
Just an idea.
I don't think any diet where you are depriving yourself that much is a good idea or healthy. In my opinion followers of this diet are essentially setting themselves up for "failure" because they are not getting the proper nutrients during the day and will ultimately binge when they are allowed to eat.
I'm a strong believer in exercise and everything in moderation.
