I just painted the accent wall!  I'll post pics once the tape comes down and I put everything back where I goes. :-)

What color did you decide on?

I went with the Valspar Timber Dust and so glad I did because after 2 coats it's pretty dark!

I hope so... So far I think it may be making the room look smaller already and it's already small.  IDK, hope it's okay when all's said and done.  I just realized I've been sitting in here without windows open!  I feel a headache coming on. :-/

well...i haven't seen a pic, but i know one thing that make a room feel open (to me) is adding mirrors to reflect light around the room....

have you thought of adding a leaning mirror up on the mantle? that might help once the paint dries and all.... ? maybe!?

I have, but DH says "mirrors are functional - not decoration" LOL.  Did you hear the snarky voice I made to mimic him?

LOL! I had to laugh because that totally sounds like something my DH would say!

LOL....woman! You need to take him to Garden Ridge....I was SHOCKED with how nice their mirrors are....and the price!!!
