H and I have a wedding to go next weekend for his cousin. They are in their late 30s, she has been married before, and have lived together for a couple years. So, they have basically everything that they need. At the shower (which ended up being a personal shower because they didn't need anything), I asked the bride what H and I could get them for a wedding present (I know, probably taboo, but I wanted to get them something other than a giftcard), what she would love to get for a wedding present. Well, she said a Cast Iron Skillet. After telling her not to tell anyone else, that H and I wanted to get them one, I realized I have no idea how to shop for one.
So, please recommend your cast iron skillet! We don't have a lot of money to spend, but want to get them a really nice one. Thanks!
Re: Cast Iron Skillet?
You should probably post this on the cooking board too, you'll get a lot of responses there
I love the couple of cast iron pieces that I have from Lodge - and they're very inexpensive! You can get them on amazon for $20ish, depending on size.

The poster above me brings up a good point. Did she mean cast iron like old school or like Le Creuset?
If you have a country antiques shop near you, see if you can find any skillets there if the bride's the kind of girl to like that idea. They'll have a wonderful seasoning on them that'll beat anything from the store! There was a great antiques store near me at our last place where you had to dig but you could find just about any housewares made within the past 100 years.

We just got a Martha Stewart one and love it - and it was on sale for around $50 this week. It's very nice!
Another option for the inexpensive enameled ones: TJMaxx/Marshalls/Home Goods - there are usually several different brands (including LeCreuset) for reasonable prices!
