Repost from D&R: Anyone have the Ikea Sultan Heidal Mattress?

They have a great sale on this mattress right now and I have been looking for a more green option?  Do you own it?  How do you like it?

Re: Repost from D&R: Anyone have the Ikea Sultan Heidal Mattress?

  • I LOVE Ikea...but I have a mattress that is just failing. I bought a Sultan Hustad (I don't think they make this model any more) about 3 years ago, and I'm already seeing definite sagging where both my husband and I sleep. Not that it should matter, but we are pretty lean people. A mattress should hold up for at least 10 years in my opinion no matter who is sleeping on it.

I tried to talk with the sales people there, and in order to use my 10-yr warranty, I need the original receipt. Well, moving 3 times 1300 miles each way has not been good to my receipt keeping skills, and now I'm stuck.

Overall, this is the one thing at IKEA I'm not a fan of. (Plus, I'm not sure its more green. Is it made from recycled products? Mine is not...) Just remember that if you do get one, keep your receipt!

  • I did end up buying the king sized Heidal a few weeks ago and so far have been really happy.  I like that it is a green option and the cost was just right.
