hairs halp
I love my long hair, but I'm getting really tired of it. I wear it down to work some, but at home I always have it pulled back because otherwise Gwen is grabbing it, twirling it, putting it in her mouth (bleck), etc. I'm wondering if I can pull off short hair? And I mean like Noisy circa-lesbian hair short.
Here's a not good pic I just snapped with my cell phone, since I literally can't find one picture of me with my hair down that isn't more then 7 months old:
Right now its more then half-way down my back. Its pretty fine.
I did shoulder length a few times before, but I think I would just end up pulling it back same as I do now:

That is the exact picture I took to my stylist. It's definitely lower maintenance than long hair, but I can't say no styling needed if your hair isn't naturally straight. It looks like you have a lot of fullness and wave in your hair like mine. I have to straighten it to get the bob to lay right.

I don't think the bob would work for me for exactly the reasons Buddha was saying... I have some natural wave and really don't have the time or inclination to straighten it in the morning.

I would photoshop your face onto whatever pic you're considering to get a better idea if you like it. I went the uber short hair cut route a few years ago and it is a LOT of maintenance. I had to wash, straighten, and style it every single day and I don't even have a love of wave. Short hair does some extremely funky things at night when you're sleeping. You have to start from scratch every morning.
I have a bit of wave, but this was just brushing and a little bit of spray gel.
It's not a look everyone likes, but I don't find I have to do much to it. Most days I just shower than run my fingers through it.

I like that, but I hate having my hair in my face... so it either needs to be long enough to pull back into a pony (in which case, I might as well not cut it!) or short enough that I don't have to.

I'm really digging this little boy's hair. It seems fit for a lady.
I find short hair really convenient, but it definitely depends on the texture and the cut. I'm getting mine cut Friday and trying to decide how short I want to go.
