Hi! DH and I moved into our house in February, we didn't have a formal housewarming, but did have friend and family over when we built our fence in April. We also had a small group in July before a local concert, but nothing was formal/organized. We are having a Halloween party and it will be our first formal gathering... so I'm a bit nervous.
Here is our menu so far, what do you think?
Carrot and celery sticks (fingers) and dip
Baked brie with cranberry or raspberry jam
Pumpkin puking guacamole and black or blue corn chips
Delived "green eyes" eggs
Shrimp cocktail
Beef, onion and cheese and bean and cheese mini empanadas
Chili bar, with toppings and tortillas
Pumpkin and chocolate chip cookies
Cinnamon apple crowns (http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Crisscross-Apple-Crowns)
We will serve beer and wine along with one or two signature themed drinks.
Do you think that will be enough variety? We plan to have light but fun decorations and guests have been encouraged to wear costumes. Do you have any fun adult halloween party game ideas? TIA!

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Very fun! I like all of the theme work you have included...your guests should have a great time!
