P&R told me you're from Tybee Island and I was hoping to get some info from you on the area. Now that we're engaged, we're trying to figure out what it is we want to do. One of the things we've talked about was doing something on Tybee Island.
We're also considering Jekyll Island, specifically the Jekyll Island Club...I'm not sure if you're familiar or know much about it, but I'd love any insight you have to offer on that as well!

Are you talking about for your wedding? Most people get married on the beach, on the pier, at one of the churches, or even at the lighthouse. We were supposed to be on the beach but it was really windy that day so we got married at the same place we were having our reception- a private residence. There's not really a nice place like the Jekyll Club (I haven't been there, so I'm not sure how nice it is but I'm assuming it's nice).
This place is new- it's the church that was used in the Miley Cyrus movie that was filmed at Tybee - "The Last Song"- it was moved to the current location. I haven't seen it in person yet, so I'm not sure if it's nice or cheesy.

There are lots of beautiful outdoor places in Savannah, like Forsyth Park or one of the historic squares. It's only about 4 hours away so you should definitely take a weekend and go down there and check it out.
