surprise party/ birthday question!

Hi ladies! ive never posted here (or anywhere other than thebump) so im excited to be here! I am throwing a surprise party for my hubby this coming saturday. im going all out, its a golf theme, all his family and mine are coming, etc etc. BUT, his actual birthday is this thursday. What can i do to still make him feel appreciated..and not give the secret away?? i made him a "365 reasons i love you" jar, will make his favorite cookies instead of cupcakes...any other suggestions? what would you do? thanks ladies!

I threw a surprise party for DH's 40th.  I took him out to dinner on his actual birthday and gave him a present.  He said he wanted a low key birthday, and I asked him on the way home if he was disappointed we didn't do something big.  He said no, but was still really happy to come home to find out about the party.

I agree with PP do what you would normally do, dinner, card, present ect, but play it cool.  Then they will be surprised  come the weekend.

What would yall normally do?  I'd act normally.  We'd normally do a nice dinner in or dinner out, depending on the day of the week, and a small gift, so that's what I'd do to mask the surprise.
