sticky oak kitchen table
Anyone know what to use to clean my oak kitchen table? Always feels STICKY even after washing with soap and water. Any products recommended ? Something that won't ruin the finish. Smells like onions as well because my husband always cuts on it! TIA

My mom's is like that, What it is is the laquer is scraping and peeling off and whats left on the table is gummy.
The only way to fix it is to sand it down and refinish it. You might want to tell your husband to use a cutting board to keep from cutting up the new finish. . . .
