If anyone is out there, what are you having for lunch today?
I'm having butternut squash mac n cheese with stewed tomatoes and a yogurt.
Re: WFL?
Probably a turkey sammy with lettuce and cheese. . .I forgot to pull the tomato off the vine so it exploded. I'm a little sad about that

Question. . .I have veggie soup for dinner. I want to add ground beef to it. Should I
A. Brown it and then just throw it in with the soup and warm
or
B. Throw it all in the crock pot and let it cook like that on high for a couple hours?
I would do option B if you want meatballs in the soup. But they'd have to be mini-meatballs to fully cook in a few (2ish) hours. Otherwise I'd go with option A.

I have no appealing food in my fridge, and DH took the car today. So I am sitting here looking at the rain outside and feeling sorry for myself. LOL
I will probably end up walking down to Spize and grabbing a salad there. Just need to get up the motivation to put on my wellies!

pp, I'm confused - are you browning the meat first in both scenerios? If so, I'd do the latter and let it cook for a few hours b/f eating.
I'd definitely brown it before putting it in so that you can drain the fat out before it all goes in the soup.
That sounds delicious. Care to share the recipe?
I had beans and cornbread. It was a good rainy day meal.
Yes, I'd be browning before putting it in the crock pot (too greasy. . .not good for the soup!)
I just didnt know which way would get more flavor for the meat. Thanks for the suggestions
