Fell off the wagon

I was doing so good before the wedding to watch what I was eating and to be on a regular workout schedule.  Then the wedding hit.  My schedule was thrown off due to the wedding and honeymoon.  When we got back school started back and I have never gotten back on track.

This morning I put on a pair of jeans looked in the mirror and the horrible sight and realized that I have completely fell of the wagon and need to get back on.  It has been almost 2 months since the wedding and I haven't worked out once!

So today I am back to drinking water, being more conscious of what I am eating and even went back to the gym.

Anyone else fall of the wagon?  Plan to get back on?

  • Oh hai!

Come join in the discussion over on the Health and Fitness boards.  There's a wide range of activities and healthy eating plans that everyone like to share, and the inspiration is overflowing!

I hear you on the eating thing.  I was doing SO WELL before the wedding, and now I'm back to eating like it's my last day on Earth.  Had I not signed up for road races this fall, ie not been running 3-6 miles a day 6 days a week, I'd be a blimp right now.

We have all kinds of posts that are daily/weekly/etc and don't be shy about asking for advice at all!

  • DH and I had all these gran dplans to get in shape BEFORE the wedding that never worked out. Well now that the wedding is over and we both have a little more time we are actually working on eating healthier and working out so I'm very slowly getting better. It's going to be a long process for me but lately I feel like it's starting to work!
  • Oh yeah, I've basically stopped working out all together.  I need to start back up, but I'm so not motivated to do anything.  I've gained about 5 pounds since the wedding, all in my thighs and booty.  Ugh...
  • Yeah... me too. I've been eating horribly, drinking way too much soda, and barely exercising. I just started running again withing the last week, so I'm hoping it becomes a good habit again. Plus we can't afford to keep eating as badly as we have been since the wedding, so that'll probably help too. ;)
  • We've been doing ok. We barely eat out and I try to cook reasonable meals. We're not super healthy, but we try to eat veggies and meat and stay away from fried foods and sweets. I like having whatever I want in moderation. DH and I started running together. I like sweating together, even though he is way faster than me.

  • Uh, I suppose it doesn't help that one of our wedding gifts was a deep fryer. I've been making potato chips. *drool*
