Where to see Fall Colors?

I want to do some hiking this weekend or next weekend and would love to go somewhere we can see some great fall color, that is also fairly close to the cities.

I am thinking Taylors Falls, but if anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear. TIA!

I would go to Taylor's Falls, but hiking the bluffs in Red Wing can be gorgeous and a great workout. May not be too many fall colors though.

I would head north this weekend since the colors peak sooner.  Taylor's falls or anywhere on the St. Croix would be beautiful this time of year.

We did an overnight trip to Taylor's Falls/St. Croix last fall to see the colors and it was GORGEOUS.

There's a great little apple orchard in that area too that has fun events.

A friend posted some pics of Duluth on Facebook and the leaves were about 50%-75% turned.  I'd head as north as possible or you might not see much down here for a week or two.

Locally - Afton State Park is gorgeous.  Otherwise, Taylors Falls or if you're up for a drive, Pattison State Park (WI) in Superior is gorgeous.
