Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I don't use Excel, but I will recommend Microsoft Money! It's easy to use, and you categorize all of your spending so that you can see exactly how much money is going to what every month. You can make pie graphs, charts, compare things, etc. It's very useful!
I do use Excel, but our spreadsheet isn't what I would call "really good". LOL. I have had to tweek it a lot this year since this is really the first year that I am keeping up with it pretty hardcore. I actually think it could get better, but I haven't found a perfect system yet....
