I love baking and I want to intern at a bakery to learn more about not only baking and cake decorating, but also the business aspect of running a bakery.
I am new to Chicago though, so I don't know a lot of bakeries around here to approach about interning. What are your favorite bakeries to go to? I would love to intern at a bakery that does a lot of specialty cakes but I will try any type of bakery at this point!
TIA!
Re: Favorite Bakery?
There are quite a few bakeries, Dinkels being one I also recommend. For some others, you can check out this link to the Cupcake Crawl I hosted last year. Many of the bakeries we visited may be places you could check into...

Sweet Mandy B's at Webster & Racine is my favorite. They seem to have a lot of DePaul students working there so they may be open to an intership.
For classes, you can check out Kendall College on Halsted. They have a part-time Baking & Pastry certificate program.
