Ombre hair color?

The girls over on the F&B board are all over this look....it's "all the rage" with tons of celebs, but I think it's a hairdo that is very specific to someone who works in a high-fashion environment.  I am sure it takes a lot of $$ to look like this, but I just can't get past how it looks like someone who is just growing out their hair color.  If someone walked into the room with this, I'd immediately think, "She needs her roots done!"  What do you think?  My vote: dislike.

I think it depends, honestly.  With the colors in the picture you posted, I agree, it just looks like someone who has roots that are wayyy too long.  I honestly have to wonder if the 'trend' started with people who got lazy with coloring their hair, lol!

But with different colors (something more 'fun' most likely) I've seen it look really cute. 

So I'm on the fence I guess. Haha

I am not a fan, I agree it looks like she just let it grow out. Katy Perry had like blue and purple at the end of hers when she was on SNL last weekend and I did like that, but I think if you have 2 "natural" colors it just looks like your roots need done very badly.
