Silly Question- Civil War reenactments...
Are there any that go on in SC? I am still new to the state, and I would love to see one.

Historic Brattonsville in McConnells--near Rock Hill is what rockwell is referring to. I did an internship there, so I have quite the soft spot for it.

They do reenactments all year, plus they have a big thing at Christmas too-- theirs is mostly Revolutionary War, but I think they do some Civil as well.
I imagine that there's Civil War stuff at Ft. Sumter and Cowpens too, but I'm not nearly as familiar with those.

This isn't Civil War but, Cowpens (near Spartanburg/Gaffney) has one every year to reenact the Battle of Cowpens.
As for the Civil War, the city of Columbia reenacts Sherman's march on Columbia every February. It is a big deal where they close down the Gervais Bridge coming from West Columbia and what not.
Fort Sumter is great to see since it is where the first shots of the Civil War rang out, but I don't know if they do a reenactment or not.
There aren't many as many Civil War battlegrounds in SC because there weren't nearly as many battles fought in SC as there were other states. Now, there were (I think) more Revolutionary War battles fought in SC than any other state so there is much more Revolutionary War battlegrounds and history.
Yes, there are most definitely more Revolutionary War reenactments around - I'm from Camden and know they do some there at least twice a year if I remember correctly. It's a pretty big thing for a small town like that. The actual Battle of Camden site (as shown in The Patriot) isn't very far from Historic Camden (where the reenactment is held).
