Thanksgiving dinner in Orlando

Hi Girls

We will be in Orlando over Thanksgiving this year- we are from Ireland & this will be our first ever thanksgiving.

Can you recommend a nice place to get dinner on thanksgiving. We will have a 7 month old baby with us so nothing too fancy!

 Thanks

Re: Thanksgiving dinner in Orlando

  • When my In-Laws came last year we went to Cocoa Beach Pier in Cocoa Beach.  They had a special traditional thanksgiving dinner but most of us had seafood.  The restaurant is right on the water and if you sit in the right place you can watch the surfers while you eat.  DD was about 10 months last year and was fine.

My family wasn't here more than a couple of days and they are from the midwest.  So it was a special thing to do.  They are coming back this year and want to do the same thing again.  Cocoa Beach is on the Atlantic Coast, 45 minutes East of Orlando.

  • Last year we went to Highland Manor in Apopka.  It was a brunch buffet.  It was fabulous.  The best turkey and stuffing I've ever had.  And all you can drink mimosas!  If we don't have family coming into town this year, we are going to go again.  It is a little expensive, but worth it to me if I don't have to clean up!
  • I live here and go out for Thanksgiving. I have been going to Portofino Bay Hotel for their Thanksgiving buffet. (I have been going since they opened the hotel -- so a LONG time!) It is laid back, but lots of great food and all you can drink mimosas too! (It isn't inexpensive, but not crazy expensive)
  • I second Highland Manor! Absolutely delicious, and there are horses and cows on the grounds you could take your DD to see as well :)
