Is anyone using Google Chrome?
I love it, but it's not playing well with the Nest. I can't bold, italicize, underline, or add smilies or images to a post.
Anyone else having the same issue? I'm on a Mac.
Re: Is anyone using Google Chrome?
Hmm. I use it. I had noticed I couldn't add smileys but I think you're right about the text styles too.
So yes, I guess I have the same issue. But Firefox was driving me nuts...so I thought I'd test Chrome out.
I'm on a Mac and just using Safari and I can't do those things either.
I am on a Mac and I specifically chose Chrome over FireFox when I made the switch from a PC. It doesn't do the things you mentioned but I didn't want the headache of having to use the plug-ins/extensions and whatever they are called that FireFox requires.
As the other person mentioned, Safari doesn't allow it either. It's just Mac in general I believe.
I use Chrome.
If you highlight the word you want to edit (bold, underline or italicize) you can hold down the control button and hit the letter 'b' to bold, 'u' to underline or 'i' to italicize. I haven't cracked the code for smilies though.
Hope that helps a bit!
You can also open the HTML source editor and code your markup yourself using the HTML tags. Bold, Italic, Underline, link.
For the smileys, just put the smiley in square brackets:
] without spaces =

Holy cow, this is the most useful post I have ever seen on the Nest, bar none. THANK YOU!
