Ideas for Hubby's birthday?
H's birthday is the 29th of October. We usually do outings instead of gifts. Since it's his birthday, it's up to me to plan something. Last year I opened a show on his birthday so we weren't able to do anything. This year, since it's a Friday night and I'm only in rehearsals for a show that opens in December, I can plan something awesome. or, I could if I could think of anything.
We've done the laser light show at OMSI and the haunted house thing, and I don't want to repeat those. Any ideas for an activity or two that would be fun and then a good place for dinner near those activities?

This is where we will be spending my next birthday.

Early dinner...something ethnic (Trebol)
My name is Rachel Corrie at the Stark (warning: may be a downer)
Dessert and coffee drinks at Papa Haydn
Art museum, Vino Paradisio, and Andina.
Either a drive along the gorge or hike at Dog Mt and lunch at Skamania Lodge.
Breakfast at Timberline Lodge and a hike at Trillium Lake.
U-Pick apple orchard with thermos of mulled cider, Mother's Bistro
Thanks for the great ideas! MrsJRD, that is totally something he would love...and something he would think I'd never do because I'm not a fan of heights. I think we're going to go with it!
I'm thinking doing an afternoon there and then staying someplace would be nice. I'm trying to decide if we'd be up for the hour drive to the beach after doing Tree to Tree. There are several B&Bs in the Yamhill-Carlton area, but I keep coming back to the beach idea. Any opinions?
I think I'd be exhausted and would want to stay near there in one of the B&B's. Plus you could do some wine tasting in that area as well. We LOVE Carlton for wine tasting. Lots of good wineries and many don't charge tasting fees or at least are reasonable. We love Cliff Creek (so much so we are members ha ha.)
Please let me know how the tree to tree place is! I'm so excited to go there....but my birthday is not until July.
Oh that place was on the Amazing Race a few years back! I bet your DH would love that!
I would also recommend MaMere's B&B in Monmouth (near Salem). I sent my parents there with a Groupon and they loved it. They said the breakfast was amazing and the rooms are really quaint and cozy.

Thanks y'all! H decided he'd rather do Tree to Tree on Saturday the 30th, as I have to work a half day on the 29th and he was afraid we wouldn't get down there in time. We're going to head down after I get off work on Friday, do some wine tasting, then stay in A B&B in Yamhill (Hilltop Hideway) and have a nice dinner someplace. We'll do the tree park on Saturday and then head home. I'm super excited, I think it's going to be so much fun!
Thanks for the dinner rec, Sheeple, I'll look into it :-)
