Re: have you ever?

  • I actually think it has been years since I rented a movie at all.

  • Haha! Yeah, I don't rent very often. Lately if I do I just get it off the Playstation Network. That way I don't forget about it and end up with late fees!
  • If I netflix a movie I've already seen I do it on purpose.

  • I did that a few months ago -- rented the first disc of the last season of The Wire, and didn't realize until halfway through the episodes on the disc that I'd seen it before! (It was while I was pregnant, which seems like eons ago!)

How do you get movies off of the Playstation network? Are they free? (that's probably a stupid question, huh? nothing's ever free anymore) We just got a PS3 and I've been enjoying the Netflix movies on demand.

  • It's not free, but about the same as renting a movie. You just go to the Playstation store and you select movies, and then you can search, or browse and it even gives you the option to purchase. It's weird though, if you rent it you have it for 14 days, but once you watch it, you can only watch it one more time, but it has to be within 24 hours. It's kind of weird and I don't do it often, but it can be rather convenient, especially if you know no one else is wanting to see the movie and you can just watch it that one time.
