Re: Question for my Bakers!!!
It looks like it's probably fondant instead of frosting, on regular sugar cookies.
Here is a really easy recipe for a marshmallow fondant that's pretty easy to work with, and color with food coloring: http://candy.about.com/od/fondantcandyrecipes/r/mm_fondant.htm
I've used it for cakes before, and it worked really well!
Good luck!
Those are so cute!
It looks like really thin fondant would work for that. I've never had luck with fondant but I also don't have very much patience, maybe you can do better:)

Like pp said it is fondant, but if you didn?t want to make the fondant you could always buy the premade stuff at Michael?s. And honestly IMO homemade fondant is just too time consuming. The premade stuff is super easy to work with and dyes pretty easy
Easy??? Are you available for hire??/
lol sure it might be fun how many cookies do you have to make?
Fondant.
I love fondant.
Another way to decorate cookies is with royal icing-

It would be difficult to do things like those teeth on the monsters - but it is another way to get a cookie looking perfect, but without dealing with fondant.
Luckily I'm not doing the monsters! We are having a football themed party for DS's birthday. His 1st birthday is Thanksgiving weekend and we are HUGE Dallas Cobowys fans so the Cowboys colors and star will be the inspiration for our party. I would like to put the star on round cookies. I was thinking white background and the star as shown below.
It depends on how many people are coming. Maybe 2 dozen?
Oh, ummmm, I may be busy now that I know it's a Cowboys part!
Just saw rolled fondant at Michaels today for only 10 bucks a box. Already colored and everything. I may have to try something like this out now.
And...Duff from Ace of Cakes is selling cake decorating stuff now?? I think I need all of it.
I saw that! Now I just need to find an available weekend to play around and test stuff out!
