help with laptop Internet connection?

Our lap top had no issues connecting to the Internet Friday afternoon. When we came home Friday night we were no longer able to connect.

The thing is we can't connect to our home wireless connection but we can connect to other places. Our Internet works on our main computer.

When I go to "connect to a network" it shows a network connection for our house but it doesn't show another one that it used to always show.

When I go to *manage wireless networks* it shows three networks. Two of them are what typically showed up before on connect to a network and the current one. It says windows tried to connect to the networks in the order listed below. The 1st two say connect automatically and the 3rd(new one) says manually connect.

When you do look at the wireless router the  wireless light blinks.  I don't know if that was something it always did or if it always remained solid.

Thoughts?

Re: help with laptop Internet connection?

  • Have you tried rebooting the wireless router (unplug, wait 3sec and plug back in)? If not then try rebooting both at the same time. Sounds like the wireless router lost it's connection to the other router. Ours do it all the time.

    This usually fixes the issue.
