Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

bathroom vent
Without getting into the Why's & How's - our bathroom still isn't finished. Luckily we're working on a set price so the extra time doesn't = extra $. It's still annoying.
Anyways, the guy doing our bathroom came today to do the tile floor. I'm not really sure what happened in what order, but we had 2 boxes of tile + some extra tiles that were boxless. Well he cut about half a box of tiles, opened the other box and found out that only the top tile (the one we could see) matched our tiles, the rest were different & not even the right size. UGH.
He went to Home Depot to see if they had anymore of our tile, but I knew they wouldn't - it was a clearance item because it was being discontinued.... which is like 70% why we picked that tile to begin with, it worked with our color scheme and was super cheap. No surrounding HD's have it anymore, so we have to go pick out new tile.
I know it's not the end of the world, and we have to keep moving with this, but this is SO annoying. Especially because even if HD decides to be stand-up about this and help us out $$ wise on the new tile we will have to get, they won't take back or refund the already cut tiles.
I'm still trying to figure out how this guy cut half a box of tiles without laying out the entire floor first. ::sigh::
I will be so happy when this is over.

HD should make good for it - my bestie had a similar problem when they had the wood floors put in in their house... Their original choice was discontinued at that point and somehow they got homedepot to put in Thomasville floors for the same price instead!

We went to HD to see what we could do and they said that they could take it back, but since it's discontinued it's in their system for .01 cent and therefore that's all they could give us. I had a few choice words for them, but I calmly reminded myself that the 19 y/o working the cash register / returns area has NO power and I need to go to someone higher.
& Get THIS! We ended up finding tile that is like exactly the same. It's a different brand, but I swear this stuff is the same. So we just bit the bullet and bought it because we need to get this reno done.
We're both writing letters to HD tomorrow explaining that if they can't make this right then we'll just become Lowe's customers.
ugh! That's sucks! I would be super annoyed as well!
