DH turned on the heat this weekend... totally without my permission
Freeze advisory in effect for tonight.
And I was hoping to hold off for 2-3 more weeks.
Re: Is your heat on yet?
Hell to the no!
We are holding out until at least November. At least that's what we have vowed to do. Our house is chilly in the morning, but we have a space heater that I use in the bathroom for the 15 minutes I spend getting ready.
It may kick on by itself, though. Our thermostat is set at 60F and it was 64F in the house this morning.
One year I refused to turn my heat up above 62F. I made it to December 1st. The only reason I turned it up was because I woke up to 18" of snow on the ground and wasn't going anywhere for a few days. It's easier to tolerate the cold when you can leave.
We're in an apartment but one of the advantages seems to be we can go longer without heat.
But how things changed in a week. DH turned on the AC this weekend. I called him a wimp but he was in the middle of working 7 12 hour shifts so he won that battle...
