What to get the in-laws for the Holidays?

Hello ladies, I deleted my old account thinking I wouldn?t use the knot anymore them wham the holidays..  so this is my first TN post.

I am having trouble tiring to figure out what to get my in-laws for the holidays. Here is some background to I?m Catholic and his family is Jewish. They have done so much for H and I; however, they have everything they could want ? the people I would like to buy for are his father(really in to his new motorcycle) , grandmother(she has everything she could want), brother (really into sports), brothers girlfriend and little cousins who are girls.  I am drawing a blank.

Thanks

  • Sorry for the misspellings I think  I am getting a migraine thinking about the holidays? fun fun its going to be a good day.

  • How much are you willing to spend per person? Does the grandmother have any hobbies; gardening, reading?  And how old are the girl cousins?

  • No price point per person I was thinking at most 50 per gift. She does needlepoint but has not finished the last one she worked on. The girls at 5 and 7  ( I don?t have kids and don?t know what they like)

  • Books, get them all books. There are all kinds of beautiful coffee table books and collector books. Get the father a book about the history of motor cycles or something like that. Bro gets a book about the history of baseball or football or stadiums or whatever. GF would get something about her favorite thing. For the girls get them classic books like Little Women or Little House. Grandma might be a bit harder, but think about what she likes and get her a book about it. Honestly, you can never go wrong with a book and a person will almost certainly read it if it's about something they are interested in.
  • I like the book idea, you could also buy starbucks coffee or a yankee candle.

  • wow i really never thought of books that is a good idea and i have all these images coming to mind thanks so much
  • For the girls you cannot go wrong with art supplies.  You could make them art kits with drawing and painting tablets, crayons, colored pencils, markers, paints, stickers, glitter glue...
  • I think that art supplies for the younger cousins is a great idea.

You could always get a history of needlepoint coffee table book!

  • We do food and wine gift baskets.  They can munch on the food (many are kosher) and drink the wine during the various holidays.

we use Wine Country http://www.winecountrygiftbaskets.com/, but there are tons, to include Harry and David.

The best part is that everyone gets the same damn thing.

  • What about a Scentsy burner system for the grandma?  You can get a burner, and 3 different scents for about $50.

Ok this might make me sound silly but I actually had to Google what you were talking about. But I really like the idea I think I am going to get this for my mother and one for myself.

  • You could always make something. Maybe a photo calendar, a blanket, pillow cases, something along those lines?
