Hey girl, I have been checking out this Zumba thing and I really think I would enjoy it. How hard is it to do? I really want to check out the DVD's too. Oh and how much is a visit to the wellness center?

zumba is a ton of fun! i started off as a student over at uah's gym, and just loved it so much that i got certified to teach it. i personally think EVERYONE can do it (no matter how "uncoordinated" some people think they are). i break down the steps so that everyone can follow. and i think the more you get comfortable with the steps the easier it becomes. anyway, i teach regularly over at the wellness center on Sat from 1130-1230. a day pass is $7 at the wellness centers. leah and jess are planning to come this Sat, so if you can make it this Sat (and def no pressure - i understand that people have lives), send me an email (twtorres@gmail.com), and let me know, and i can try and work something out.
i have the original zumba dvds, and i personally think the live class is SO much better. they bore me! but i'm just weird like that. i know that they have just recently released a newer dvd set. i haven't seen it, but i heard that it is so much better (i know the music for it is much better). so i guess it depends on the person.
LOL! oddly enough i am NOT the dancer of the fam, but i shake my tushy like i was!!!
Hey Aubie, I found some DVD's on ebay for pretty cheap. Some will even offer free shipping. And I think that some of them are their new ones. So check it out.
Tiffany, I would love to come saturday but I have a house full of teenagers coming for Big Spring Jam (My brother, his g/f and some of their friends). I need to be there b/c my doggie will freak out with all the new people. May I can come one weekend soon! I am really uncoordinated and I don't want to make myself look like a fool...lol. Thanks for the info. I really want to try this, I think it would be fun!

Thanks Erin, I can't get to ebay at work so I'll look online tonight. It would be a good change of pace from my crackhead Jillian Michaels when I get tired of her - ha ha!!!!
But yeah Tiffany, I would rather be in a class but I think it's more economically feasible (and I need to stay self motivated!!!) for me to have the DVD's. So I'll look into that. If I was closer to yall, I'd just come to the class. Wish I had the time to just get certified as it sounds like so much fun!!!!
o yea i definitely understand! the $50 for the dvds is a heck of a lot cheaper than $50/mo for a gym membership just to take it. i hate that i came across like that - sry! they actually put a lot of time/money into the new dvd set, and i've heard that it is SO much better! i actually want to get the set for myself, but don't have the $ for it right now.
