Spring bulbs in moderate climates

I've never planted bulbs before. I live in Los Angeles---we don't ever have frost (or very, very rarely). What is the protocol for planting bulbs? I know I've heard things about putting them in your freezer, etc... but if anyone has any tips, that would be much appreciated!

  • If you are planting them outdoors, you'd have to chill them for several weeks before planting. Here's a Sunset article that will help you out.
