Have we discussed Project 333 already?

I tried to search for it, but you know how that goes. Here's the description. I'm doing it with a few friends and we're all blogging about it. Anyone else in? I started late so I'm a few days behind everyone else.

You are invited to Project 3333 months with 33 itemsWhen: October 1 ? December 31What: 33 items including clothing, accessories, jewelry, outerwear and shoes. What not: these items are not counted as part of the 33 items ? wedding ring, underwear, sleep, in-home lounge wear,  and workout clothing (you can only wear your workout clothing to workout)How: over the next two months, outline your 33 items, by the 1st of October, box up the remainder of your fashion statement, seal it with tape and put it out of site.

What else: consider that you are creating a wardrobe that you can live, work and play in for three months. If you purchase items for project 333, stick with the one in, two out approach. Consider the essentials and stick to 33.

Re: Have we discussed Project 333 already?

  • What an interesting idea.  I just counted the clothes I wear regularly and I'm around 33, excluding winter outerwear.

This seems like a tough time of year to start the project, though.  In Minnesota, we're having really nice day time weather so you need to wear summer-ish clothes but by November/December, we'll be wearing coats, hats, mittens, scarves, boots, etc.  That stuff really adds up when you're limited to 33 items!

  • I don't think I own 33 clothing items.   I own no jewerly, a few pairs of shoes, a couple of pants, and a few tops.  I honestly don't think anyone has ever noticed that I wear the same few things over and over.  Come to think of it most of our friends have a tendency to wear the same items over and over too.
  • I had a hard time coming up with 33 items too! I didn't realize that but I was glad to learn it about myself. And I know you east coast girls have it much harder than us here in LA though the rain 2 days 80 degrees 2 days is not helping these days.
