Interview attire FAIL

Girl is here to interview for a law clerk position. She's wearing a brown pencil skirt (very cute), and a cream-colored sheer shirt with a white cami underneath, and a BLACK bra.

I'm not conservative really by any stretch of the imagination, but is she hoping to get hired on sex appeal? I'd never dream of not wearing a suit to a legal interview.

Re: Interview attire FAIL

  • I can picture that being kinda cute and funky out on the street, maybe in an ad agency or at a fashion magazine... but NOT at a law firm.  Uhhhh....

Actually, it is rare for sheer to ever go over well at a law office.

  • I know... what she was wearing was really cute. I'd consider wearing it if I was going out with DH or my girlfriends to somewhere nice. Never to work, though. I have one sheer shirt that I only wear here with a super conservative cami underneath and usually with a jacket over it.
  • Wow.

That's all I can say right now....

  • Whoa.

Maybe she watched Project Runway last week and got totally carried away with what is acceptable interview attire.
