Question RE: Oranment Exchange
Hey ladies! I've been MIA for a while and just saw the ornament exchange thread. I love this idea and signed up for Elfster to participate. The only questions I have are:
1. If we're leaving our addresses blank (you can add your address on the profile page) and then we have to email our recipient for their address, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of it being a surprise? Then our recipient may know who we are and that blows Secret Santa's cover!
2. Are we mailing the ornaments on Dec. 13th or do we need to make sure they arrive by Dec. 13th?

If it makes you feel better, I didn't notice it until you pointed it out... lol
I think everyone needs to make sure they fill out the address information in their profile. Once Elfster matches us with someone we will be able to see that person's profile, including mailing information. I would also say it's a good idea to have your first and last name in your profile so your elf has that information for addressing your package. I prefer to keep the Secret Santa cover as long as possible.
I'll be mailing my package around the 13th. Now that I type that I wonder if the package will arrive in time with the increased mail volume over the holidays.
I'm pretty excited for this exchange!
Thanks scottnsissy. I wasn't a hundred percent on how the match process worked. I also just noticed that you could add your address and I also went back and put my nest name on my profile.
As for the mail dateI just picked that date because I thought if everyone mailed by the 13th then we'd have to ornaments in time for Christmas. You can certainly mail before that if you think you'll need extra time. I probably will since mine has to go cross border.
