Roasting time

I am sorry in advance. I feel like this is a pretty stupid question but I want to make sure I dont mess this up.

I am having 6-8 people over this weekend for thanksgiving, and I dont "do" turkeys so I am making roast beef. It has been suggested to get two roasts as it will be easier to cook than a gigantic roast.

When I make a roast I cook it for 1.5hrs + half an hour for every pound.

My question is, do I roast it for the length of time for the full weight of meat that will be in the oven, or just for the length of time for one as each roast will be the same size? In my mind, each roast is small so it will not need the same amount of time to cook thoroughly as one large piece of meat would. I just dont want to over or under cook it.

Any advise?
