He is 34.5" tall (94%) and 24 lbs 9 oz (30%) Tall and skinny. No wonder his pants don't fit!! LOL
Since he doesn't really have an actual word, just a bunch of babble, she is having us go do a hearing and speech eval. She wasn't overly concerned since he does babble a lot, he associates objects with words and his motor skills are very good. But she said we need to make sure he can hear okay and then move on from there. So I am assuming if his hearing is fine we will move on to some sort of speech therapy. She said typically with kids who walk early like Davis and have motor skills like he does she sees a lot of them with delayed speech and one day they wake up and spit out sentances. I'm not concerned, I think he is just fine and will just be a late talker. I think it is good doctors do this though which I'm sure they didn't years ago, it can probably help rule out a lot of more serious issues that can occur in children.
I did decide to go ahead and get the varicella vaccine. I had put it off at the 15 month. He took it like a champ, usually he flips out but he just sat on my lap and watched the nurse. He tried to steal the band aid out of her hand. He never cried or anything. You wouldn't have known he got one.
When he has his follow up with the allergist in a few weeks I have to go pick the MMR shot up at the pedi first and let the allergist administer it since it is grown in egg and he has the egg allergy, she said typically they like the allergist to give them since they are better equipped to handle a reaction. And no flu shot for Davis, it is also grown in egg and she said he really didn't have to give it. I told her he had one last year and didn't react, she told me that with food allergies the more your exposed to the food you are allergic to the worse the reaction, so she said even though he didn't react then, he very well would react now to it.
