Re: In Search Of...

  • I don't have any to sell, but I can help you in your search:

the unpaper towels, we just made ourselves. I sewed 8" cloth to a terry backing (some I used terry-cloth with a thermal-type backing) to make them two-ply, and picked up my own snaps and snap pliers. Try www.kamsnaps.com. It was fun, because I got to use great patterns that matched my kitchen. Each unpaper towel has two female snaps on one end and two male snaps on the other. Snap them together, and voila'. Very cost effective.

We also made our own (well, I made) reusable baggies, we just bought some PUL backing for the cloth pieces... I suppose snaps could/work on these too, as long as you're not putting anything too messy in there.Stick out tongue

I got our dryer balls from Fuzzy Wuzzy Dryer Balls on the EcoNest blog, here. They're not expensive, and they work wonders. Try some of the other vendors there, too. And try the EFF blog for more places to find stuff for your baby (giveaways too).

  • I'm also a HUGE fan of reuseit.com, if you switch over slowly then it seems like less of a monetary burden.

Instead of paper towels we use SKOY cloths: http://www.skoycloth.com/index_files/products.htm

    They're amazing :)
