I'm taking my parents to brunch on Sunday, and I'd like to go somewhere new.
This is what I'm looking for:
Newport/CM area (I'd love to go somewhere by the water, but if not, somewhere with a cool atmosphere)
Affordable / not too $$ (I'm paying, after all )
I'd love somewhere with bottomless champagne
I've taken them to: Woody's Wharf, El Torito Grill, True Food Kitchen, Billys, Plums
I feel like 3 Thirty 3 is going to be too much of a scene for my parents. I was thinking about Sol right next to 3 Thirty 3, but I'm not wild about the menu.
Any ideas for me?
Re: Brunch recs
Brunch without bottomless champagne isn't brunch, IMHO.
We like sitting upstairs at Rusty Pelican.
I know you want CM/NB but Tantalum in LB has a very reasonable brunch. They've changed the menu a bit but champagne is bottomless with entree purchase $12-20ish/plate. The view is great.
APK had a brunch at this amazing location.. good food and totally beach front. However, 1) I can't remember the name and two I think it was in Laguna Beach.
I'm no help.
What about Lido Deck? I've never been but have heard good things about it.
