Making your own Christmas stockings
Anyone made their own Christmas stockings?
I am not super crafty but I somehow think I can make them my own.
Am I delusional? LOL
If you've made your own, do you mind sharing a picture? Thanks so much!!
Re: Making your own Christmas stockings
What do you want the stockings to look like? Do you have an inspiration pic to share?
I made a felt ones. I just drew a stocking shape and cut it out of felt. You could hand stitch the edge with a blanket stitch and then embellish with whatever you want.
I'm assuming you won't need to wash the stockings, so you could totally use glue. I used Christmas clip art as a pattern, cut out holiday shapes from felt and stuck them on.
I don't have a picture, but this approximates the level of detail I have on mine, a simple shape and a few embellishments:
Here's my post from last year:

Good luck!

A few years ago, I bought plain satin ones at Michaels and dressed them up with ribbon, fringe and beads. Here is the link to my old blog post...
