I'm still here and very annoyed with this resort. First of all, all-inclusive resorts should always have room service, IMO. I'm amazed that the majority of Riu Resorts do not offer this!! And their definition of a "snack bar" is a serve-yourself-out-of-a-freezer sandwich tray and nachos. I showed up on Wednesday in between lunch and dinner (about a 2 hour gap) and was starving! I went to my room and looked everywhere for the room service menu so I could get something to eat and of course it was nowhere to be found. Then I went to the "snack bar" and it was almost completely empty! The only things in it were a few bruised apples and some hot dogs (that you have to microwave because they're frozen). Not a good way to start the trip.
Everything else besides that was great until just right now. My flight doesn't leave until 6:30 so my shuttle doesn't even pick me up until 3:30 but I had to check out of my room already so I figured I'd just take my computer and use the free internet in the lobby (which, btw, is another complaint of mine... no internet in the rooms!). Anyway, I'm down here and I go to plug in my computer... they turn all of the outlets off in the lobby until 6PM! I have about an hour of battery life left, 3 more hours until my shuttle comes, and they won't let me charge my computer. Grrrrrr!!! I'm a very, very, very annoyed Jaye.
So... yeah. Go Palace and Sandals resorts that all mostly offer this!!! :P
