Buying a Foreclosure

We are in the middle of buying a foreclosure home and its pretty much move in ready but the front yard grass is DEAD and the whole backyard is dead. I dont know where to start! What are some good ideas for the home? Thanks!

  • Did you see the house in the summer?  It may just be the type of grass you have.  Some grasses do go brown and look completely dead all winter, only to come back again in Spring.  For example, zoysia grass does this.  You may want to cut up a small sample and take it to a local nursery to find out what type of grass you have and then make decisions from there.  They may also have advice for treating and caring for your lawn.
