WFD?

Since today is a holiday (just not for most of us) it's been sloooow at work today, which has given me tons of time to browse recipes and see what I want to make for dinner tonight. I think I have it picked out:

I'm just not making the cheese sauce because I have sliced provolone at home already, and I probably won't use ciabatta either, just use regular ol' hoagies or something.

So what are you planning tonight?

Re: WFD?

  • That looks delicious! I am having whatever the hubby makes, it is only fair - I have cramps and I am at work after getting home late last night. He is at home enjoying his holiday playing with the cat.

Haha... yeah sounds like he should be making dinner tonight!

I know if I asked my H to make dinner he definitely would, I'm just having a problem asking him to do anything. I don't know if it's pride or stupidity, or both.

  • I have a spaghetti squash cooking in the crockpot right now.  We'll have that with spaghetti sauce.  I'm using some jarred that's in the pantry because I feel yucky today and don't feel like making my own sauce.  Not sure what else we'll have.  I would like to make it out to the store to get some salad fixins and fresh bread, but I don't feel like it's going to happen.
  • Looks yummy Sarah!  Tonight is Monday Night Football and Brian's Vikings are playing so..... looks like we'll be out at our local Football hangout during dinner time!  Which is fine because this place usually feeds the crowd during half time....generally it's just pizza since it's a Pizza Joint, however he does Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Spaghetti, Chicken Breasts and other goodies from time to time.

At least I get out of having to cook dinner tonight!

    The cheese steaks look yummy!

  • DH won't be home till late, so I'm on my own.  We have Chili that we made over the weekend or guac/salsa.  I may just have some guac/salsa and chips. I dunno...we'll see, not feeling like a big meal tonight and I'd like some quiet me time to relax and catch up on Top Chef Desserts.
  • I'm making a Crockpot "Pizza!"  It is a new experiment but it looks yummy!
  • Those cheesesteaks looks awesome!

We're being lazy and eating Amy's Organic Black Bean Vegetable Soup http://www.amys.com/products/category_view.php?prod_category=14.  It's really good and pretty healthy, even coming from a can.  DH bought a case of it from Amazon so it's been our go to meal for days when we don't want to cook.  I like to add a few dashes of chipotle tabasco sauce for an extra kick.  Fast and delicious!

P.S.  I highly recommend buying non-perishables from Amazon.  The Amy's line can be kinda expensive, but we got a pretty good deal buying online.  I <3 the interweb!
