Tablett vs. Netbook? Pros/Cons?

I'm wondering if you guys can help me. I need a new laptop for work.  Price is no object.  I do a lot of presentations which would be the primary use of the computer. However, the tablett would allow me to take notes at meetings, etc.  I'm not sure what else the tablett would offer.

Anybody familiar with both that can give me some more insight?

TIA!

Re: Tablett vs. Netbook? Pros/Cons?

  • If price is no object, I would go tablet.  Netbooks typically have lower processors and memory so they would not support presentations very well.  I have not really used a tablet for note taking or the other novel features, but I can type faster than I can write so I don't think I would use the fancy stuff anyway.

    Good luck!

  • Thanks for the information! I appreciate it.
  • I think it depends on how much you currently use your laptop and what kind of work you do with it. I would love to get an ipad but it wouldn't replace my Macbook Pro for me. But if you just mostly do simple notes and presentations it could work. A netbook wouldn't be my favorite as a main laptop either as they're 1) tiny, so not very good for typing for a long period of time, and 2) underpowered, as in they don't usually have a lot of RAM and a small hard drive.
