How is married life treating you thus far? I'm sure you have been busy with school too
Re: kmjarvey
Not too much different... We'd already been living together so it was kind of anticlimatic. Now we're just dealing with trying to combine money... and how to spend it... I really want to use some of our wedding money go to Kauai for a honeymoon but he wants to save it. At least that's the worst thing we have to disagree on for now...
Definetely been busy. 2 midterms this week. And DH worked 84 hours last week and is out of town this week for work so I'm doing all the cooking, cleaning, taking care of the dog... Only 10 more days until we get a weekend off next weekend to go to Chicago to meet up with my parents. Yay!
I think it took us about a year and a half before we were really intertwined money wise. We had lived together, but then DH moved months before me to a new town/apt, so things were set up money wise when I got to town.
Hope the tests go well!
I should also add... he finally started direct deposit of his paycheck to the combined account at the 4 year mark. And that was because our bank got sold to a national devil, so our account numbers were changing and it made sense then. He used to transfer money each month to the combined account and I would use that to pay the bills.
Now if only his student loans weren't on auto-draft (grrr... but need that discounted interest rate), we would be bank account together. We still use our own credit cards from before we were married. Neither of us are co-signers on the others card.
