Just wanted to let you know that I was not purposefully misunderstanding you in the post about Palin's religion. I took that to be a little insulting, but that's okay.
I think we are coming from two different perspectives and it is extremely difficult to understand another's faith, especially if one has faith in God and the other doesn't. So in that respect, I don't consider the "Palin types" to do any sort of disservice to Christianity because I don't believe it is all that different from what most Christians believe. IThose are pretty consistent themes in Christianity.
Just wanted to respond because the post is now lost and I never get to follow up with teaching all day.

Re: Sibil
FWIW, I didn't think you were, but I thought the rest of us were being pretty clear that we weren't referring to Christianity in general. So, I didn't know why you kept taking that route unless it was intentional. It wasn't meant to be insulting. I really just didn't get why you were answering the way you were.
Do you really think that creationism and eschatology are consistant themes? You're Catholic, right? Even the Pope has come out in support of evolution.
