I made those steak sandwiches last night & they turned out great! ...aside from the whole hands-on-fire debacle. I feel like such a dumb-dumb for doing that, but I honestly didn't think cubanelle's were spicy! 
It only took like 7 hours for my fingers to stop burning, then my right hand went kind of numb, and this morning felt fine.
I tried like 5 different things to make them stop burning and I don't think any 1 thing helped, but the combination of doing all of them finally made the pain somewhat bearable for the last hour or so. Won't be doing that again...
I would definitely make these again, but next time I'm using Anaheim peppers. F those cubanelles.
